Crosby, Bing (Harry Lillis) 1904 - 1977. US film actor and singer. He achieved world success with his distinctive style of crooning in such songs as Pennies from Heaven 1936 (featured in a film of the same name) and White Christmas 1942. He won an acting Oscar for Going My Way 1944, and made a series of "road" film comedies with Dorothy Lamour and Bob Hope, the last being Road to Hong Kong 1962.
